Schedule: Hybrid - Onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; Remote Monday and Friday
Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 annually
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a growing payroll team supporting a large, multi-state workforce. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with strong experience processing union payroll and prevailing wage payroll in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, collaborative team culture, and the opportunity to contribute to an expanding organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 2,000 employees
- Administer union payroll and prevailing wage payroll accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, union, and prevailing wage requirements
- Maintain payroll records and support reporting requirements
- Partner closely with payroll team members and leadership to resolve payroll issues
- Utilize payroll and ERP systems to process payroll transactions and employee data
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and payroll reconciliations
Qualifications
Required
- Experience processing union payroll
- Experience processing prevailing wage payroll
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting
- Experience handling high-volume payroll in a complex environment
Preferred
- Experience with Paylocity
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365)
- Background in Renewable Energy , Construction , Industrial Services , or Oil & Gas
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll practices
