Strategic Sourcing Manager - Indirect (Charlotte)

Strategic Sourcing Manager (Indirect) – Overview Responsible for executing the strategic sourcing process for indirect categories with an estimated total spend of $150M–$200M. Works closely with stakeholders to develop and manage supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and maintain compliance. Location and Work Arrangement It will be based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work schedule. Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain constructive supplier relationships consistent with organizational goals. Conduct spend analysis and market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities. Develop category sourcing strategies, including RFIs, RFPs, and reverse auctions. Create and maintain company standards for each category based on requirements. Negotiate and finalize agreements, including Master Sourcing Agreements, Statements of Work, NDAs, and amendments. Develop and execute implementation, communication, and compliance plans. Measure, manage, and report on realized cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier program compliance, service levels, and category activity. Lead cross‑functional teams in developing policies and programs related to various sourcing categories. Identify, plan, and ensure execution and compliance of sourcing strategies across the following indirect categories: Marketing, BPO, Sales, Travel, Uniforms, Meetings & Events, Tickets & Entertainment, and non‑hazardous Waste. Manage and develop an associate sourcing manager. Occasional travel at 10–15%. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Management, Operations, Accounting, or related field; MBA or other graduate degree preferred. CPIM/CPM certification or equivalent desirable. At least 5–7 years of progressive indirect strategic sourcing experience. At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in a minimum of four of the following categories: Marketing, BPO, Sales, Travel, Uniforms, Meetings & Events, Tickets & Entertainment, and non‑hazardous Waste. At least 2–4 years of hands‑on experience negotiating standard contract terms and detailed, performance‑driven scope of work documents. Experience negotiating outsourcing agreements is a plus. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills; proven ability to influence without authority. Strong customer focus, collaborative management style, sense of urgency, project management skills, and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
