Role Description The Energy Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Chicago, IL, focused on helping residential and commercial customers optimize their energy use. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing energy consumption, identifying efficiency improvements, and recommending electrical and energy-saving solutions that align with client needs and budgets. The Energy Advisor will conduct site visits, review utility data, prepare reports and proposals, and collaborate with electricians and project teams to implement recommendations. The role involves educating customers on energy management best practices, supporting rebate or incentive programs, and maintaining accurate documentation of consultations and outcomes. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to clearly explain energy concepts and support diverse clients. Candidates should possess Energy Industry and Energy Management knowledge to evaluate usage and recommend effective efficiency strategies. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Energy fundamentals to interpret data and propose practical solutions. Experience in electrical systems, building operations, or sustainability initiatives is beneficial. Ability to analyze utility bills, prepare reports, and use basic office and data tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software). Comfort working on-site at customer locations, with attention to safety procedures and professional conduct.
