The Inpatient Diabetes Education Department provides comprehensive support and education for patients managing diabetes. Our certified diabetes care and education specialists (CDCEs) offer personalized counseling, lifestyle modification strategies, and hands-on training to help individuals understand their condition and effectively manage blood sugar levels. In this role, you will: * Provide resources and guidance on healthy eating, exercise, medication management, and blood glucose monitoring. * Empower patients to make informed decisions and prevent complications through ongoing education and support. * Manage and adjust diabetes treatment plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to maintain safe and effective glycemic control in hospitalized patients * Serve as an expert in diabetes technology, assisting patients and healthcare providers with diabetes sensors and insulin pumps.
