General Manager - Luxury Sports Cards And Collectibles Boutique

Our client, a new luxury sports cards and collectibles boutique, is looking for a General Manager to join their team in Palm Beach, FL!

Title : General Manager

Location : Palm Beach, FL (On-site)

Company Overview

our client is a new luxury sports cards and collectibles boutique built to become Palm Beach's clubhouse for collectors, families and sports fans.

Role Overview

We are seeking a founding General Manager to serve as the owner's trusted number two and build the business from the ground up. An exceptional opportunity for a luxury hospitality, private club or premium retail leader to build and lead a distinctive new Palm Beach destination. This is not a traditional store manager role. It is a hands-on small-business leadership role for an exceptional operator who combines financial rigor, gracious hospitality and exceptional integrity.

What You Will Own

• Launch and lead day-to-day operations, including systems, SOPs, security, cash controls and a consistently beautiful store.
• Own the P&L, budget, forecasting and concise weekly reporting across revenue, gross margin, labor, cash flow and channel performance.
• Manage purchasing, item-level inventory, reconciliation, aging, shrink, grading and consignment with exacting discipline.
• Hire, train and develop a high-performing team that delivers warm, discreet, service-led hospitality.
• Build lasting relationships with every guest, from a child buying a first card to a sophisticated private collector.
• Grow the business across the store, e-commerce, private client, memberships, events and community partnerships.
• Own the Kids Club, athlete appearances, collector events and marketing calendar, measuring results and improving continually.

Who You Are

• An operator first: highly organized, commercially minded and fluent in Excel or Google Sheets. You know the numbers before being asked and bring solutions with every problem.
• A natural host: calm, polished, warm and discreet, with genuine enthusiasm for children, families and serious collectors alike.
• A trusted owner: low ego, sound judgment and exceptional follow-through. You protect the company's assets, reputation, confidential information and relationships as if they were your own.
• A builder who enjoys creating systems, developing people and being present for peak season, major releases, events and holiday periods.
• A long-term partner who wants to help build an enduring Palm Beach institution, not simply hold a retail position.

Experience That Matters

• 7+ years of progressive operating and people-leadership experience, with meaningful responsibility for a P&L, inventory, labor and financial reporting.
• Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, private clubs, service-led organizations, professional sports, specialty retail or collectibles.
• New-unit opening, high-value inventory, clienteling, e-commerce or event experience strongly preferred.
• Trading-card knowledge is preferred;
genuine curiosity and the ability to learn quickly are essential. A bachelor's degree is preferred.

Trust and Accountability

Because this role handles valuable, portable inventory and confidential client information, employment is contingent on strong professional references and lawful background screening. The GM must sign confidentiality and conflict-of-interest policies, disclose personal collecting activity and maintain no competing sales channel or private dealing relationship.

You can use to collect and manage your references for free and share them with us or anyone else you choose. Candidates with references are always preferred by our clients. Now is the most important time to stand out from the crowd. We suggest that you ensure you have updated your LinkedIn profile and that you start collecting your references early.
