Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Position Overview

Lakeportside Mind Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a committed and passionate full-time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Lakewood, New Jersey. This role is pivotal for assisting our patients in achieving their optimal mobility and functionality through a variety of therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to promoting health, preventing injury, and rehabilitating physical impairments in a supportive outpatient environment.

At Lakeportside Mind Rehab & Wellness Center, we specialize in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services focusing on orthopedic therapy. Our 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology and is committed to offering personalized care to enhance the quality of life for our patients. Our team is comprised of two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant who work collaboratively to deliver evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual.

Work Environment

This full-time position is exclusively located onsite at our Lakewood outpatient office. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic while ensuring ample time to engage with patients in meaningful ways. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and establish individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and goals.
• Manage a patient caseload, seeing one patient per hour, while delivering effective, evidence-based interventions designed to enhance motion, mobility, and overall physical function.
• Utilize various treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to promote rehabilitation and recovery.
• Educate patients on preventive care techniques and promote a healthy lifestyle, including improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Minimize reliance on medications and offer alternative solutions to surgical procedures through innovative treatment approaches.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment protocols meticulously, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and improving quality of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes through integrated care strategies.
• Monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and maintain open communication with patients regarding their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves individuals with private medical insurance, allowing us to provide personalized and comprehensive care focused on orthopedic rehabilitation. We cater mainly to adult patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain issues. Each treatment plan is tailored to the unique needs of our patients, fostering a supportive environment conducive to healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of New Jersey, with a clean record free of disciplinary actions.
• Solid understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and patient management strategies.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is a significant advantage.
• Background in manual therapy techniques and the knowledge to develop and conduct customized exercise regimens.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time position is competitive, with an annual compensation of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and background.
