Job Description Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION Payroll Specialist Pay Rate: $25.00/hr W2 Experience Level: Level 1 (1–5 years) Location: White Plains, NY – White Plains Office Work Arrangement: Hybrid Start Date: Immediate Duration: 12 Months Work Schedule Monday–Friday 7.5-hour workday with a 30-minute unpaid lunch Paid for actual hours worked No paid vacation or sick days Hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days onsite , with the possibility of being fully onsite depending on department/business requirements CWPO Engagement Requirements Fully remote positions are not permitted . Hybrid schedules require onsite presence and may be fully onsite depending on business needs. Remote work privileges may be revoked at any time. The client does not provide laptops . For remote days, the client provides desktops and dedicated workstations that candidates will access remotely using their personal equipment. Candidates must have reliable personal equipment and internet access for remote work. If a candidate does not have adequate equipment/internet or is determined to be ineffective while working remotely, the hybrid privilege may be revoked. Project Overview The Payroll Specialist will be primarily responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll and related activities using ADP Vantage for NYPA and its subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Vantage , ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain employee files and process changes to employee master records in ADP. Monitor and review employee time entries in the Time & Attendance system. Calculate special payments and reconcile payroll registers. Distribute payroll reports and checks to employees and sites. Serve as a point of contact for payroll processing issues, errors, corrections, and stakeholder concerns. Process payroll adjustments, including: * Retroactive payments Final payments Sick and vacation payouts Taxable relocation payments Process entries for multiple payrolls, including: * Time entry and master data Deduction changes Direct deposit entries Benefits Withholding W-4 changes Paid time-off balance adjustments New hires Additional payments Monitor the Time & Attendance system to ensure compliance with client policies. Troubleshoot employee time-entry issues, manager approvals, and site Finance processing. Work closely with HR and Accounting to ensure accurate employee data and payroll processing. Reconcile payroll registers against original source data and verify payroll accuracy. Required Skills & Qualifications Highly proficient in ADP Vantage . Strong knowledge of payroll compliance procedures and applicable laws. Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills. Practical approach to resolving issues and gaining stakeholder alignment. Excellent customer-service skills and experience. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations professionally. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities. Advanced knowledge of ADP preferred. SAP experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree preferred in: * Accounting Business Human Resources Finance Related field Minimum 2 years of payroll experience with ADP Vantage Now required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
