Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with workers' compensation experience to join our team! The Legal Assistant maintains a close professional relationship with attorneys and manages their day-to-day activities.
JOB SUMMARY
The Legal Assistant:
- Provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor.
- Prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents.
- Schedules medical appointments.
- Proofreads documents for spelling and grammar.
- Organizes and maintains files.
- Screens telephone calls and visitors.
- Reads and responds to mail.
Skills & Experience
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate OR Bachelor's Degree
- At least two years’ of workers' compensation experience
- Strong written and oral communication
- Highly organized
- MS Word proficiency
- Type 50 wpm
- Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality
