Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized assessments and skillful observational techniques. Design tailored treatment plans that align with both immediate and long-term communication and swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians to develop integrated care strategies. Educate patients and their families on strategies to facilitate progress outside of clinical visits. Support occasional inpatient assessments and therapies to ensure patient continuity throughout their rehabilitation process. Maintain meticulous, timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through continued education and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification. Certifications Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Florida. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within your initial month of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based methodologies for treating a variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders across all ages, encompassing both developmental and acquired concerns. Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to adjust therapeutic techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic needs. Strong clinical intuition and problem-solving skills.
