Seeking IP Psychiatrist at BUMCT

Banner - University Medicine Tucson is actively interviewing inpatient psychiatrists with a focused interest in treating patients with serious mental illnesses to join our dynamic Clinical Faculty team at the state-of-the-art Behavioral Health Pavilion in beautiful Tucson, AZ. Our inpatient psychiatry team provides exceptional patient care through close collaboration partners with nursing, case management, and technicians. Clinical responsibilities include conducting court-ordered evaluations and delivering evidence-based treatment for patients presenting with a variety of psychiatric conditions requiring Level 1 care.

We are specifically recruiting inpatient psychiatrists who are committed to didactic teaching and clinical supervision of residents and medical students within our thriving training programs at the world-class University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. The qualified candidate will receive a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona consistent with their credentials. The University of Arizona offers a generous tuition discount to faculty and their immediate family members. This position is open to both experienced psychiatrists and recent graduates and we offer an excellent loan repayment program.

Position Details:

• Monday-Friday weekday work schedule with minimal call
• 220 shifts/year
• Adult patients
• Average patient volumes: 12/day
• Engagement in training residents and medical students

Minimum Requirements:

• ABMS Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Strong interest in serious mental illness
• Desire to practice and engage with learners in an academic setting.
• Current Arizona licensure or eligible for licensure in Arizona.
