Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to document clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health from the first consultation through to the conclusion of their treatment.

• Create and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting strategies as needed based on evolving client needs.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions using established best practices to promote healing and coping strategies.

• Monitor client progression throughout their treatment journey, adjusting treatment plans and strategies in collaboration with clients and their support networks.

• Work closely with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all clients.

• Conduct follow-up discussions with healthcare providers for clients who require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify barriers to recovery and devise strategies to mitigate these challenges, fostering a healthier path for clients and their families.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and caregivers coping with the mental and behavioral challenges presented by their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Function First Therapy Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction issues. Our clientele consists of individuals seeking improvement in their mental well-being, couples navigating relationship difficulties, and families coping with behavioral health challenges. Your role will be critical in helping these individuals achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of direct experience providing mental health counseling services.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and ethical guidelines.
