Tribal Data Archivist

Tribal Data Archivist Implement digitization of Tribal information, legacy and current for all departments of the Tribe. Scan existing paper documents, catalog electronic documents, transcribe legacy documents, apply metadata and structure as required to facilitate retrieval and analysis. Collaborate with department representatives and system administrator to determine optimal strategies for storage structure. Install document access software on client computers. Manage transport, storage and disposal of paper documents as required. Oversee any LTE scanning personnel. Work with Vendors to request quotes and invoices for technology procurement Work with the Legal Department to manage IT Contracts Work with Procurement and Accounting to assist in procurement operations Provide assistance with other department's use of the Tribal Data Archival Solutions Administrate Property and Procurement, quote requests, requisitions, contracts, and invoice support. Minimum of high school diploma, HSED or GED required. Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Appreciation of the role that data plays in Tribal history and operation. Minimum of 1 year experience in Scanner operation. Ability to maintain concentration while executing very repetitive tasks. Ability to understand and apply the needs of employees across Tribal departments. Experience working with Laserfiche software a plus. Attention to detail. Rapid and accurate keyboard entry. Must be able to maintain focus for extended periods of time. Must be skilled in Microsoft operating system environment and applications. Ability to handle sensitive information, confidentially. Primarily office position that may require bending, lifting and reaching. May need to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Tribal Administration Building. All Tribal Buildings are smoke free. May be required to attend training and meetings both in state and out of state.
