Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients to inform treatment planning.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client progress.

• Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.

• Monitor and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.

• Engage in integrated care practices, collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to incorporate best practices into therapy sessions.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills.

• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigma and promoting equal access to mental health resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on clients experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. As an LMFT, you will work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including marginalized communities such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence. You will make a significant impact on their lives by providing support, understanding, and effective treatment pathways.
