Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols and operate a vehicle as part of a driving post. You will maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. DayTimeMon12:00 AM - 08:00 AMSun12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of bus facilities, transit areas, parking areas, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents and notifying appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency responders as needed.
- Complete required reports, maintain professional communication, and support a respectful environment for riders, employees, and visitors.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
