Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent medical conditions, ensuring evidence-based practice at all times.
• Facilitate effective discharge planning by collaborating closely with case management, ensuring seamless transitions for patients returning to their home environment.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at improving quality of care and cost-effectiveness across services, actively recommending enhancements based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
• Act as a consulting physician for patients requiring hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, responding to urgent situations as they arise in collaboration with medical staff.
• Maintain precise documentation that meets insurance criteria for reimbursement, ensuring timely appeals for any denied claims.
• Engage in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, with potential on-call responsibilities to support patient care continuity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adult and pediatric patients presenting at our urgent care center with various conditions ranging from non-emergency ailments to more critical health issues. Our diverse community serves individuals from different backgrounds, ensuring you will encounter a variety of clinical cases that require empathetic and professional care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, and a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Florida (PA-C).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
• A strong work ethic with a commitment to participating in a collaborative, performance-driven healthcare system.
• A current DEA number, enabling you to prescribe medications as necessary.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience as a Physician Assistant, particularly in urgent care or emergency medicine settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position includes a highly competitive salary ranging from $400,000 to $500,000 annually, depending on your qualifications and experience.
