Job Overview Kelly® is seeking a Scientist 1 – Research and Development to work at a leading organization in partnership with Johnson & Johnson in Spring House, PA. Typical Responsibilities Perform preculture and cell culture operations of reduced‑scale bioreactors. Execute lab‑scale protocols to support automation and advanced process control of bioreactor operations. Participate in the evaluation of new sensor technologies installed in bioreactors. Conduct offline sample testing and prepare data summaries of bioreactor operations. Report to senior team members and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Qualifications Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a related field. Demonstrate a strong understanding of biotherapeutic manufacturing cell culture operations. Be competent in independently operating reduced‑scale manufacturing, including aseptic techniques, preculture, and cell culture (strongly preferred). Possess knowledge and experience with process‑supporting measurements such as metabolite analyzers and cell counting analyzers. Have excellent communication, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
