Our restaurant and Kitchen provides a fast-paced, energetic work environment located right on East and West Lake Okoboji. We can give you the opportunity to work at the busiest summer tourist location in Iowa! We are looking for employees who are outgoing, possess strong work ethic, and who can provide professional, top-notch service.
Position Summary
The Kitchen Manager is in charge of coordinating and supervising the kitchen staff according to food safety standards. The Kitchen Manager will lead back-of-house staff including Line Cooks, Prep Cooks and Dishwashers before, during and after meal service.
Responsibilities
The following responsibilities will be expected for this position:
- Oversee operations of the kitchen
- Coach, train, and oversee kitchen team
- Ensure quality and consistency of dishes
- Menu development and planning special event menus
- Manage and maintain product inventory
- Work as a member of the management team to direct the overall smooth operations of a 400-seat lakefront restaurant and entertainment venue
Requirements
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a demanding environment
- Experience in experimenting and creating new, high quality culinary dishes
