Role

The Director of Operations {DOO} oversees the day-to-day operations ensuring that the internal and external workings of the parish are effective, efficient and sustainable. The DOO takes responsibility in ensuring the staff & faculty have what is needed to succeed and fulfill the mission of St. Ann.

Qualifications

The DOO is a practicing Catholic who upholds Church teaching both in word and by manner of life. Knowledge and experience working with business operations, human resources, staff evaluation, fundraising and development are preferred. The DOO must love the Church and the faith and must be a team player able to build trust. The DOO must demand personal excellence and the same excellence for the parish in operations and advancement. The DOO must be personable and inspiring, and able to advance the St. Ann mission to all parties.

Responsibilities (40 hours)

Financial (20)

• Manages parish accountant
• Responsible for all financial planning, reporting and controls for the parish, including Church, School and Young Child Center (YCC)
• Approves all expenses and accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Oversees offertory and bank deposits as needed.
• Responsible for Finance Council
• Negotiates vendor contracts
• Manages all parish financial assets
• Resource for parish fundraisers

Operations (10)

• Manages Facility, IT, Security and Office for entire campus, with safety, cleanliness, excellence, efficiency and proactive maintenance and planning in mind
• Implements best practices and continually improves our processes and efficiencies and planning

Human Resources (5)

• Administers staff handbook and benefits
• Responsible for staff recruitment, evaluation, development and records
• Manages risk and insurance policies
• Implements best practices and continually improves our processes and efficiencies

Staff Collaboration and Communication (5)

• Keep an active, listening relationship with all staff so as to serve their needs
• Weekly 30 minute meeting with the Pastor. Collaborates with advance planning as requested.
• Attends all staff meetings and days of recollection
• Represents St. Ann to Archdiocese, Deanery, Parish Groups and Greater Community

• Supervises: Facility Manager, Office Manager, IT Director, Accountant, Finance Council
• Classification: Exempt, At-Will (no contracts)

• Office: St. Ann Parish Offices
• Physical Demands: Standard Office
• Compensation: Salaried based on experience and performance. Full Archdiocesan Benefit Package Offered. Reasonable Work and Travel Expenses Reimbursed. Annual raise considered June 30th of each year. Continuing Education by Request.
