Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Weekdays with some weekends required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit setting with varying patient acuity levels
• Maintain a standard patient ratio of 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies
• Perform IV insertions and continuous telemetry monitoring, including strip reading
• Utilize electronic medical records system (Cerner) for accurate and timely documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to manage Progressive Care and Telemetry-level patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in West Virginia or a valid Compact RN license (pending license considered)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience overall
• At least 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical / Telemetry and 2 years of experience in a Stepdown unit
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in IV insertion and telemetry strip reading
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references within the past 2 years

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with Progressive Care or Telemetry patients in a higher-acuity environment
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus but not required
