A confidential plaintiffs-side litigation practice is seeking a mid to senior-level attorney to help lead wage and hour class action and complex employment litigation based in New York. This role is suited to a lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and wants meaningful responsibility across discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances in state and federal courts .

THE ROLE

- Manage and advance wage and hour class action and related complex employment matters in New York state and federal courts

- Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions and discovery-related motions

- Lead discovery strategy, including written discovery, meet and confer efforts, and discovery motion practice

- Take and defend depositions

- Prepare for and appear at court conferences and hearings

- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy, budgeting, and litigation planning

- Coordinate case tasks and timelines across multiple active matters

- Travel occasionally based on case needs

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Location:

New York City, New York

Schedule :

On-site, in office 4 days per week (some flexibility)

Compensation:

Base salary range: $200,000 to $400,000

REQUIREMENTS

- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

- Active admission and good standing with the New York bar

- 5 to 10+ years of civil litigation experience

- Demonstrated experience with discovery, motion practice, depositions, oral advocacy, and court appearances

- Prior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation

- Ability to travel occasionally

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

- Additional bar admissions (multi-jurisdictional practice)

- Courtroom exposure beyond motion practice, such as evidentiary hearings, trials, or arbitration

- Experience overseeing a large caseload, delegating effectively, and shaping litigation strategy

- Experience mentoring junior attorneys or contributing to business development
