Staff Accountant

Responsibilities Come join this established and growing firm! Our client is seeking an agency accounting professional to manage the processing of receivable and payables to include resolving discrepancies while working with employees, vendors and banks ensuring the proper posting, payment and accounting of transactions. Will post payments and receipts to customer accounts, assisting in bank reconciliations and certain tax filings. The successful candidate will be trained in the company processes and be expected to provide input into best practices and efficiencies. Qualifications 3-5 years of insurance accounting experience within the Property and Casualty Insurance industry. Must be proficient with MS Office. Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or Insurance. Experience in the insurance industry helpful but not necessary. The position requires a criminal background check. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to evaluate current process and suggest improvements. Proven ability to organize and manage time to meet specific deadlines. Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills. Critical thinking and service orientation. Problem solving. Ability to follow through and to communicate to others. Ability to interact with others on a daily basis.
