Description Location 1690 Broadway,Building 19 Suite 470,Fort Wayne, IN, 46802,United States Employee Type FT Exempt Required Degree High school Manage Others Yes The Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing all affordable housing compliance functions across the Biggs Property Management portfolio. This role ensures adherence to HUD, LIHTC, RD, HOME, and other regulatory requirements while maintaining audit readiness, consistent standards, and operational alignment. The Compliance Manager directly manages Compliance Specialists and Compliance Trainers, oversees all audit preparation and responses, establishes standardized compliance procedures, and serves as the primary compliance resource for Operations, Ownership, and Regulatory Agencies. This role plays a critical leadership function by proactively identifying compliance risks, resolving deficiencies, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant documentation across the organization. Compliance Oversight & Regulatory Leadership Audit Management & Regulatory Response Serve as the primary point of contact for all compliance-related audits, including HUD MORs, NSPIRE/HQS, state agency reviews, investor audits, and RD reviews. Coordinate audit preparation, documentation gathering, file reviews, and corrective action plans. Prepare, submit, and track audit responses within required deadlines. Monitor findings through resolution and prevent repeat issues. Directly manage Compliance Specialist and Compliance Trainers. Assign workloads, prioritize projects, and ensure adequate coverage. Conduct one-on-one meetings, coaching, and performance evaluations. Support professional development and ongoing training of compliance staff. Training, SOPs & Quality Control Partner with Operations, Accounting, Facilities, and Training teams to ensure compliance alignment. Support acquisitions, lease-ups, rehabs, and transitions from a compliance perspective. Provide leadership and ownership with compliance reporting and risk assessments. Requirements Minimum 5 years of affordable housing compliance experience. Demonstrated expertise in HUD, LIHTC, RD, HOME, and layered financing. Prior experience managing or mentoring compliance staff preferred. Strong audit response and regulatory communication skills.Proficiency in Yardi Voyager.
