Bookkeeper

Location: Houston, TX Job Type: Part-Time Pay Rate: $24–$27/hour Overview Our client, a well-established Houston-based small business, is adding a Part-Time Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting and payroll operations. This is a newly created role due to business needs. The position is primarily transactional in nature and does not include financial statement preparation. Approx. 25 hours per week In-office, Monday–Friday (about 5 hours/day) Key Responsibilities Process payroll for approximately 5 employees Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain accurate and organized financial records Update and manage Excel spreadsheets for tracking/reporting Assist with bookkeeping cleanup and organization Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely completion of tasks Required Qualifications 2+ years of bookkeeping experience Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Solid Excel skills (formulas, sorting, basic reporting) Payroll experience, preferably in a small business environment High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage routine deadlines Why This Role Stable, family-owned business environment Hands-on role with clear scope and expectations #J-18808-Ljbffr
