Retail Marketing Professional for AI Evaluation

Retail Marketing Managers apply retail promotional and CRM expertise to evaluate AI-generated marketing content and produce expert training data. You will use hands-on experience with promotional planning, customer engagement workflows, and competitive monitoring to assess AI outputs for accuracy and relevance and provide detailed feedback that improves AI understanding of retail marketing practices. This is ongoing, project-based, part-time contract work that can be done alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.

• Evaluate AI-generated marketing content and responses for accuracy, relevance, tone, and alignment with real-world retail workflows.
• Create expert-level training data based on your hands-on use of the tools and processes in your daily work.
• Apply domain knowledge from promotional campaign planning to judge campaign briefs, offers, and creative suggestions generated by AI.
• Assess customer nurture email workflows, including segmentation, cadence, messaging, and personalization, and provide corrective feedback.
• Perform competitive monitoring tasks and use competitive insights to evaluate AI outputs.
• Document clear, actionable feedback, examples, and corrections for research teams, working asynchronously.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in retail marketing or CRM.
• Relevant roles include Marketing Manager, CRM Manager, or equivalent positions in the retail industry.
• Hands-on experience with promotional campaign planning, customer nurture email workflows, and competitive monitoring.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
• No prior AI experience required, experience with common marketing tools is a plus.

• Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work.
• Fully remote with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement.
• Typical contributor commitment when participating in an active project is approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
• Placement on projects depends on current project needs; candidates may be considered for future projects as they become available.

Up to $80/hr (depending on the project). Payment is on an hourly contract basis.

F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, these projects may not meet that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.

• Begin assigned work and receive payment according to the hourly contract terms.
