HR Manager

The HR Manager is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. The successful HR Manager acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with HR department and business management, the HR Manager seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Manager maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related course of study, and two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write correspondence that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to travel overnight across multi-state region on regular basis; occasionally with short notice. #J-18808-Ljbffr
