About the Position

We are seeking a Locum Gastroenterology Physician to provide coverage in Bellingham, WA. The role includes inpatient & outpatient GI care, consultations, rounding, admissions, GI procedures & 24 hour call coverage.

• Evaluate & treat adult gastroenterology patients
• Provide inpatient & outpatient GI care
• Perform GI consultations
• Conduct hospital rounding & admissions
• Perform inpatient & outpatient GI procedures
• Provide coverage at the outpatient endoscopy center
• Participate in 24 hour call coverage
• Manage weekend, evening & overnight GI needs while on call
• Collaborate with another GI physician in the practice
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC
• Provide comprehensive care for adult patients aged 18+
• Support continuity of care across hospital, clinic & endoscopy settings

 

• Standard day shift approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Approximately 8 hour shifts
• Schedule may vary when on call
• 24 hour call required
• Weekend, evening & night coverage while on call
• Call includes consultations, rounding & procedures
• Hospital rounding & admissions required

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active Washington medical license required by start
• IMLC accepted
• Candidates pending Washington licensure may be presented
• EPIC experience required
• Must be proficient with EPIC
• Additional certifications as required by MSO
• Comfortable with inpatient & outpatient GI procedures
• Must be available for 24 hour call coverage
