Litigation Paralegal

Overview About This Role The Litigation Paralegal provides litigation and case management support to the Legal Department and serves as a key partner in managing claims, litigation, investigations, and related legal matters across Acadia. This role supports attorneys and legal professionals through all phases of litigation, including case intake, document management, discovery, litigation holds, trial preparation, and coordination with outside counsel. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting complex litigation matters in a fast-paced corporate legal environment. Coordinate andmaintainlitigationfiles, pleadings, correspondence, case documents, and related records. Manage legal holds, document preservation efforts, and custodial communications. Assistattorneys and outside counsel with discovery requests, document collection, document review, and production activities. Coordinate responses to subpoenas,recordsrequests, and other legal inquiries. Track litigation deadlines, court filings, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial dates. Prepare chronologies, case summaries, witness files, and other litigation support materials. Assistwith investigation of claims and litigation matters, including fact gathering and records review. Organize andmaintainelectronic case files and litigation databases. Coordinate communications among facility personnel, Risk Management, Human Resources, Operations, outside counsel, and other stakeholders. Review invoices from outside counsel and legal vendors andassistwith budget tracking and reporting. Support mass tort and multidistrict litigation (MDL) matters through document collection, case tracking, and coordination activities. Prepare regular litigation status reports and other legal departmentreporting. Assistwith legal department projects, policy updates, and compliance initiatives. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Assistwith special projects andinvestigations asassigned. Support records management and retention activities. Perform administrative and legal support activities for the Legal Department. Perform other duties as assigned. Exercises sound judgment andappropriate escalationof issues. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Qualifications What you'll bring... Minimum Associate'sdegree, paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience supporting civil litigation, healthcare litigation, insurance defense, employment litigation, mass tort litigation, or related practice areas. Experience managing litigation files and supporting discovery processes. Experience coordinating document collection, review, and production. Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Corporate legal department experience. Healthcare, behavioral healthcare, hospital, or medical malpractice experience. Experience supporting mass tort and/or multidistrict litigation (MDL). Experience withlitigationhold management and eDiscovery processes. Experience working with legal matter management systems and document management platforms. KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES: Knowledge of litigation processes, court procedures, and legal documentation. Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to analyze and organize large volumes of information and documents. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with attorneys, business leaders, outside counsel, and facility personnel. Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information. Strong problem-solving andcritical-thinkingskills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: PREFERRED- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved or accredited program. Why Acadia?
