Therapeutic Elementary Teacher (26/27 School Year) - Cambridge Shore Educational Collaborative was established in 1975 as one of 24 educational collaboratives in Massachusetts, providing public special education to students with disabilities. Role and Responsibilities We are hiring an Elementary Special Education Teacher to educate students who need the behavioral and emotional support that Shore provides in small, structured classrooms in Cambridge. Provide specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP while addressing grade level content standards. Utilize positive reinforcement, behavior modification, and classroom routines to shape positive behaviors and create an inclusive safe environment where learning can occur both academically and socially/emotionally. Current DESE licensure in Elementary Education and/or Moderate Disabilities for grades 1-6 is required, although candidates who are close to licensure or who are eligible for this particular license will be considered. Salary range: $63,696.52-$123,530.78, commensurate with experience and education.
