Key Responsibilities\n

The responsibilities of the Mental Health Therapist at Belfry Counseling Center include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments for individuals, adolescents, families, and groups to identify needs and develop appropriate treatment plans tailored to each client.

• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to deliver effective interventions that address clients’ specific issues.

• Maintaining thorough documentation of client progress and treatment interventions, ensuring compliance with departmental and legal requirements.

• Engaging in regular consultations and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and refer clients to additional support services as necessary.

• Participating in team meetings, such as patient rounds, to discuss case management strategies and interdisciplinary treatment plans for seamless patient care.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Belfry Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, including outpatient therapy.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; an advanced degree in the corresponding mental health discipline is preferred.

• A commitment to providing ethical, effective, and culturally sensitive care to clients from varied backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in collaborative care models, crisis intervention, or specialized therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) or Play Therapy will be highly valued. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous for effective documentation and coordination of care.
