Business Development Representative

Location SCP Distributors, 622 N. Responsibilities Prospect potential new clients within the target market, including pool & spa retailers, pool builders, and maintenance firms. Make cold calls and market to prospective clients. Follow up and qualify sales leads. Conduct professional presentations on products and programs. Develop and maintain relationships with key customer personnel. Identify client needs and provide quotes and product data as needed. Close sales and follow through to ensure appropriate delivery. Support operations and accounts receivable efforts. Collaborate with sales center, regional, and divisional managers to grow the business. Complete internal reports and paperwork in a timely fashion. Qualifications Minimum two (2) years of professional‑level business‑to‑business sales experience. Proven track record of successful sales in a wholesale environment. Ability to cold call prospective clients. Strong knowledge of one or more of the following product lines: pool‑related equipment, plumbing supplies, tile, decking, exterior lighting, patio furniture, construction materials, building supplies, chemicals, landscaping/irrigation supplies, HVAC supplies, or similar tangible goods. Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record (no more than two violations within three years), and willingness to travel within a designated area. Occasional lifting and moving of up to 75 pounds. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word and Excel; knowledge of AMP or similar customer‑management system preferred; knowledge of Prelude or similar inventory control software helpful.
