Payroll Support Specialist

Title: Payroll Specialist Location: Hybrid/Remote - Atlanta (Sandy Springs) - 1x a week on-site Compensation: $70,000-75,000/year, benefits, insurance, PTO Job Description Vaco is partnering with a growing organization in Atlanta seeking a Payroll Specialist . The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for a large, multi-location employee population (1200+ employees in the US). This role owns the full payroll cycle and serves as a key partner to employees, and acts as the first point of contact for payroll-related questions, including taxes and timekeeping. Key Responsibilities Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 1,200+ employees - full cycle payroll for 25+ states Independently run and close assigned payrolls within UKG, ensuring accuracy and compliance Open payroll and complete payroll processing by, adhering to established deadlines Perform ongoing payroll maintenance, including employee updates and corrections Prepare, review, and distribute pre-check registers to ensure payroll accuracy prior to processing Build and maintain strong working relationships with practice administrators and internal stakeholders Serve as the first point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, including payroll calculations, taxes, deductions, and timecard issues Research and resolve payroll discrepancies Ensure compliance with applicable payroll regulations, policies, and procedures Qualifications 4-5+ years of multi-state (25+ states) and 1,000+ employee payroll processing experience Experience with UKG (highly preferred) Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and timekeeping practices Candidates with stable job history preferred Strong communication, customer service and relationship-building skills Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; and other business and organizational needs.
