Law Clerk

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a rising [second/third] year law student with a strong academic record and a keen interest in property/casualty, maritime, insurance coverage, worker's comp & employers' liability. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience and work closely with experienced attorneys on a variety of legal matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various legal issues.

- Assist in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

- Participate in case strategy meetings and client consultations.

- Review and analyze case files, evidence, and other relevant documents.

- Attend and take notes at depositions, court hearings, and trials.

- Support attorneys in trial preparation and case management.

- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and document organization.

- Engage in professional development activities and networking opportunities provided by the firm.

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school and have completed at least one year of coursework.

- Strong academic performance with a minimum GPA of 3.0

- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Prior legal experience or coursework in [specific area of law] is a plus but not required.
