LPN Profession: LVN / LPN Specialty: Behavioral Health

This position is for a licensed practical nurse specializing in behavioral health. The unit focuses on treating residents with diagnoses of Alzheimer's and dementia exhibiting aggressive behaviors. It is important to develop behavioral management strategies tailored to each resident's needs. The facility has a daily average census of 20 residents in private rooms. The focus of the role includes medication management and discharge planning. Resident safety is paramount; individuals requiring oxygen, intravenous therapy, or feeding tubes cannot be accepted. This position may require floating to other units as per facility needs. Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend. Clinical responsibilities include vital sign monitoring, managing assaultive behavior, and implementing de-escalation protocols. Staffing ratios are 1:20 during the day and on weekends. The successful candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to enhance each resident's health and functional ability.
