Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,135–$2,190 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights (3x12) Start date: 08/31/2026 Setting: Med Surg Rehab in an inpatient care environment Coverage considerations and float opportunities within scope of practice Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care for Med Surg Rehab patients, coordinating medical and rehabilitation needs (physical, occupational, speech therapy) as part of a holistic approach. Manage patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4/5; collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize functional recovery. May serve as backup Charge Nurse; coordinate total nursing care, supervise team members, and ensure adherence to professional standards of practice. Administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs and device therapy, perform routine assessments, and document in the electronic medical record (Cerner). Engage in patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and coordination with therapists to support functional goals and safe transitions of care. May float between Acute Rehab and Med Surg units and to other units as needed within scope of practice. Requirements Active Vermont RN license or Compact license in good standing BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg Rehab experience; Charge RN experience required BSN is strongly preferred Prior travel experience (at least 3 months) required Willingness to float to other units as needed within scope of practice Must have own reliable transportation due to community setting Benefits and Support 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
