Recruitment Manager
Sunlight Senior Care
Sunlight Senior Care is growing in Des Moines, and we are looking for a motivated, organized, and people-focused Recruiter to help us hire exceptional caregivers. This role is critical to our growth. The Recruiter will be responsible for finding, screening, interviewing, and helping onboard caregivers who can provide dependable, compassionate, non-skilled home care services to seniors and individuals needing support at home. This is not a passive HR role. We need someone who can move fast, build a strong caregiver pipeline, communicate clearly, and help ensure Sunlight has the right people ready to serve clients. What You’ll Do Recruit caregivers through Indeed, referrals, social media, community outreach, job fairs, and local partnerships. Review applications and quickly contact qualified candidates. Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews. Coordinate interview schedules and follow-up communication. Help move candidates through background checks, onboarding, training, and hiring paperwork. Maintain accurate applicant records and hiring pipeline updates. Build relationships with CNA schools, community organizations, workforce programs, and referral sources. Communicate regularly with office leadership about hiring needs, staffing gaps, and caregiver availability. Support caregiver retention by helping create a positive first impression and smooth onboarding experience. Ensure hiring practices align with company policies, Medicaid-related expectations, and client safety standards. Iowa HCBS providers have quality oversight and incident/reporting compliance expectations, so hiring dependable, well-screened caregivers matters. What We’re Looking For Recruiting, HR, staffing, healthcare, senior care, or customer service experience preferred. Strong communication and follow-up skills. Comfortable making calls, texting candidates, and keeping applicants engaged. Organized and able to manage multiple candidates at once. Positive, professional, and persistent. Comfortable using applicant tracking systems, Google Workspace, Indeed, or similar platforms. Able to represent Sunlight Senior Care professionally in the community. Must maintain confidentiality and follow fair hiring practices. Preferred Experience Home care, healthcare, CNA, caregiver, or staffing industry experience. Experience recruiting hourly employees. Familiarity with caregiver onboarding, background checks, and compliance documentation. Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required. Why Join Sunlight Senior Care?
