Job Information Job Grade: EO17H Division: Academic Affairs College/Dept: College of Arts and Sciences Department: CAS Requisition Number: 2026-00272 FTE: 100% Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8-5, some weekend Remote / Telecommute: No remote/telecommute opportunity Appointment Term: 12-12/12 months Pay: $22.60 per hour ($47,000 annual) FLSA Designation: Non‑Exempt Position Summary The OLLAS Educational Outreach Coordinator works with local schools to promote scholarships administered by OLLAS; organizes and coordinates the OLLAS learning community, meets regularly with scholarship recipients, and builds and maintains relationships with school related stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Scholarships Coordinator (30%) Coordinates the promotion, recruiting, application process, and selection of the NGLS scholarship and the Anne C. Boylescholarship. Works with external partners in the promotion of the scholarships when relevant. Essential Function: Yes Learning Community (20%) Coordinates the OLLAS Learning Community. Organizes monthly meetings and meets one‑on‑one with scholarship recipients. Essential Function: Yes Recruitment Efforts (20%) Builds and maintains relationships with primary Omaha Metro high school principals, counselors, teachers, bilingual liaisons, and high school student organizations, as well as with relevant high school‑related community organizations. Promotes UNO and OLLAS recruitment efforts, scholarships, and enhances students’ educational success and well‑being. Essential Function: Yes Conference Assistance (10%) Assists Community Engagement Coordinator with the organization of the OLLAS High School Conference and other recruitment efforts on campus. Essential Function: Yes Scholarship Events (10%) Coordinates the organization of the OLLAS’ Annual Scholarship Reception. Essential Function: Yes Marketing Activities (5%) Assists the Community Engagement Coordinator in OLLAS marketing activities when related to OLLAS scholarships. Essential Function: Yes Other Duties (5%) Other duties as assigned. Essential Function: No Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a social science field, humanities, or Social Work. Knowledge of the Omaha metro and local schools and bilingual (Spanish‑English). Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Skilled in Project Management and has developed connections with local schools and education‑related community organizations.
