Role Description

\n

Full-time. This is our first hire on Antheros's transactional team. You'll join Erin Ator Thomson, former General Counsel at Shattuck Labs, Inc., to help build out our general counsel practice for growth-stage life sciences companies.

\n

The Corporate & Licensing Associate will work across:

\n

\n
• Corporate governance, board management, and cap table oversight
\n
• Commercial agreements (NDAs, consulting/advisory agreements, contractor agreements, and similar day-to-day contracts)
\n
• Licensing and technology transfer, including university option and in-license agreements
\n
• Clinical trial agreements and other biotech-specific commercial matters
\n
• Standard financings handled directly, plus general-counsel-side oversight and coordination on larger financings, M&A, and IPOs run alongside outside deal counsel
\n

\n

You'll work with AI-assisted tools, including Harvey, Lexis+AI, and Claude, that reduce routine drafting and diligence work, freeing up your time for the higher-judgment counseling and negotiation that clients actually need.

Requirements

\n

• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a corporate or licensing associate at a large national law firm, with substantial life sciences industry experience.

\n

• J. D. and active admission to practice law in California, Massachusetts, Texas, North Carolina or New York.

\n

• Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, collaborative, and intellectually curious.

\n

Hours : Our average is 1,600 hours worked annually, including business development and professional development time.

\n

Salary Range: $235,000 to $305,000 annually, depending on experience.
