Monitor patient status, vitals, pain levels, and recovery progress; implement ongoing care plans. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and update the plan as needed. Conduct patient and family teaching about perioperative care, recovery expectations, and discharge planning. Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff in accordance with scope of practice; supervise CNAs as assigned. Document care accurately and communicate changes in patient status to the care team to support patient safety. Requirements Active, current RN license in California. Eligibility to practice as a PACU nurse in the assigned unit and setting. Demonstrated competence in the nursing process, patient assessment, and care planning. Ability to work in a fast‑paced PACU environment and collaborate with the care team. Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to provide care across the patient age range served.
