Central Supply Clerk - Columbus

TITLE: Central Supply Clerk

REPORTS TO: Administration

Non-Exempt

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in providing supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Receive and follow instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure all orders are delivered to the appropriate campus facilities and nursing units in a timely manner.
  3. Ensure all appropriate coding is documented on all facility invoices for accurate billing.
  4. Ensure that supplies are properly maintained and rotated on a First in First Out rotation.
  5. Notify appropriate department when special orders have arrived.
  6. Fill requisitions, as approved, and file in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  7. Ensure that vendors provide appropriate material safety data sheets (MSDSs) in accordance with current OSHA regulations and the facility's policies and procedures. Report problem areas to the purchasing agent.
  8. Others related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor.
KEY CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Highly focused and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent communication skills written in oral.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.
  2. Must be able to push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
  3. Must be willing to perform tasks that may involve exposure to the resident's blood/body fluids.
  4. Must be able to operate a Pallet Jacket.
