We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support accurate financial recordkeeping and day-to-day bookkeeping operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing financial data, maintaining accurate and well-organized records, and helping ensure that financial information is timely, reliable, and easy to review.  This is a part-time position, approximately 18 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Record and categorize financial transactions accurately in accounting software.
• Maintain general ledger entries and reconcile bank, credit card, and other account statements.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as assigned.
• Prepare invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances when needed.
• Assist with payroll preparation and related recordkeeping tasks, if applicable.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reviews.
• Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.
• Monitor transaction accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Maintain organized documentation for audits, tax preparation, and internal review.
• Collaborate with team members to improve bookkeeping processes and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working with financial data, reports, and spreadsheets.
• High level of discretion when handling confidential information.
• Associate degree, certification, or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with bank reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll procedures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience preparing reports for tax or audit support.
