New Business Specialist - Personal Lines

Job Overview We are seeking a driven and detail‑oriented New Business Specialist (NBS) to join our Personal Lines team in a hybrid role (up to 3 days/week in our Vero Beach, FL office). The position is salaried and production‑focused, responsible for quoting, presenting, and binding new business while delivering a high‑touch client experience. Responsibilities Work primarily from inbound and internally generated leads, focusing on cross‑selling and rounding out accounts. Support internal producers by quoting business and assisting in the placement of new accounts. Sales & Lead Management: assign inbound leads, quote, present, and bind new personal lines business; identify coverage gaps and proactively cross‑sell additional lines; maintain consistent follow‑up and pipeline activity. Quoting & Producer Support: quote new business opportunities for direct clients and internal producers; shop multiple carriers to ensure best placement and coverage; meet expected quote turnaround times (typically 24–72 hours). Systems & Workflow Execution: manage leads, pipeline, and activity in Salesforce; utilize QuoteRush for comparative quoting; maintain accurate documentation in AMS360 and WorkSmart per agency SOPs. Underwriting & Carrier Knowledge: apply and follow all carrier underwriting guidelines across Florida markets; assess risk and ensure proper documentation prior to binding; stay up‑to‑date on carrier appetite, guidelines, and product offerings. Account Rounding & Growth: actively cross‑sell and round out household accounts; support agency growth initiatives through coverage expansion and retention strategies. Qualifications Active Florida 2‑20 or 4‑40 license. Experience quoting and binding personal lines insurance (Home, Auto, etc.). Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) Florida carrier underwriting guidelines. Experience with Salesforce and QuoteRush preferred. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Strong communication and follow‑up skills.
