Accounting Clerk LHH is seeking a dependable Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations within a fast-paced business environment. This role is responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with payroll and tax-related activities, and supporting month-end close functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to producing accurate work while meeting deadlines. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $22/hr. Job Duties

• Process and validate sales and financing transactions within the company's accounting system.
• Review account activity and perform reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
• Investigate discrepancies and prepare correcting journal entries when necessary.
• Maintain commission tracking reports and employee compensation spreadsheets.
• Provide support with payroll audits and review payroll reports for accuracy.
• Assist with preparing and submitting tax-related filings and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting activities, including account analysis and reporting.
• Organize and maintain financial records, spreadsheets, and accounting documentation.
• Collaborate with accounting staff on special projects and process improvements.
• Perform additional administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or clerical accounting experience preferred.
• Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment is beneficial but not required.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
• Flexible start time within standard business hours.
• Occasional overtime may be required during month-end and peak workload periods.
