Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations across various age groups, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, through a mix of standardized and observational assessment methods.
• Craft customized treatment plans focusing on both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Engage in dedicated one-on-one therapy sessions, honing in on aspects like communication clarity, fluency, voice modulation, and safe swallowing techniques.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and families to support and enhance their progress beyond the walls of the therapy clinic.
• Occasionally carry out inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain precise and efficient documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Continue advancing your skills and knowledge by engaging in ongoing education and peer interactions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Achievement of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Mandatory: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
