Position: Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Location: Mahwah NJ

Pay Rate: $65.00-$80.00/ Hr on W2

Description:

Seeking a highly qualified EH&S Specialist to provide technical support and EH&S leadership at the site. This role serves as a subject matter expert and key contributor to the site’s EH&S strategy, supporting and mentoring the organization to ensure effective implementation of EH&S processes aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the EH&S management system in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and deliver EH&S training programs
• Conduct inspections and audits
• Prepare EH&S reports and metrics
• Lead the Emergency Response program
• Oversee incident investigations and trend analysis
• Assess EH&S impacts of proposed changes
• Ensure effective risk assessment and risk reduction programs
• Monitor regulatory compliance
• Manage waste and environmental monitoring programs
• Lead site EH&S projects
• Collaborate with site leadership
• Promote a strong culture of safety and environmental accountability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in EH&S Management or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum of 2 years of EH&S experience with a focus on risk assessment, OSHA compliance, and emergency response
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 preferred
• Additional certifications such as First Aid, CPR, Hazardous Materials Technician, Incident Command, and respirator clearance are a plus
