Not someone who wants to paper a file for two years and settle on the courthouse steps. Someone who wants to stand up, examine a witness, get the ruling, and get better every time. If that is you, we will put you in the courtroom and teach you how to win there. About the firm We are a Texas family law firm serving Collin, Denton, Dallas, and Tarrant Counties. Clients come to us in the hardest season of their lives — divorces, custody fights, protective orders — and they need someone who can actually handle a contested hearing, not just draft around one. We are small enough that your work matters immediately and lean enough that there is nowhere to hide. That is the trade: real responsibility, real feedback, real time on your feet. What you'll do Carry your own docket of divorce, SAPCR, custody, modification, and enforcement matters Handle temporary orders hearings, mediations, and contested final trials Take and defend depositions; draft and argue discovery motions Draft pleadings, decrees, and orders that hold up when opposing counsel reads them closely Work directly with clients — set expectations, deliver hard news, keep them steady Second-chair complex trials until you're ready to first-chair them, then first-chair them What we're looking for Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas (or eligible for admission before your start date) Trial ambition above all. We are open to years of experience. We will consider a strong newer lawyer with real hearing time and a senior associate ready to run a trial docket. What we will not compromise on is the desire to be a trial attorney A hard worker who wants to be taught. You take the note, you fix it, you don't need it twice.
