A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its growing Chicago office. This position supports a busy commercial real estate practice handling sophisticated transactions and working directly with experienced attorneys on high-value matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for a paralegal who enjoys ownership of their work, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to play a key role in complex commercial real estate transactions. The team is supportive, approachable, and looking for someone who can hit the ground running while managing files independently.
What You'll Do

• Review purchase and sale agreements and track critical transaction deadlines.
  
• Review title commitments, title policies, and surveys.
  
• Draft title summaries, title objection letters, and transaction-related documents.
  
• Prepare amendments, consents, assignments, and closing documentation.
  
• Coordinate directly with clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction parties.
  
• Assemble signature packets, closing binders, and closing deliverables.
  
• Conduct entity formation and corporate maintenance activities.
  
• Obtain EINs, entity certificates, and related corporate documents.
  
• Support commercial acquisitions, dispositions, financing transactions, and general real estate matters.
  
• Utilize legal technology and AI-driven tools to improve efficiency and document production.
  

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of commercial real estate paralegal experience (5+ years preferred).
  
• Strong title and survey review experience.
  
• Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing.
  
• Knowledge of Illinois real estate practices, deeds, titles, and related documentation preferred.
  
• Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of files.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Law firm experience preferred.
  
• Experience with entity formations, corporate governance, or related transactional work is a plus.
  
• Familiarity with document management systems such as iManage is a plus.
  
• Comfortable utilizing technology and AI tools to support efficiency and productivity.
