Open Rank, Non‑Tenure System Faculty Position in Accounting; Assistant Director of the Center for Internal Auditing Excellence Location: Richardson, Texas University: The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) Type: Full‑Time Category: Accounting Posting Number: F01137P Salary Range: Negotiable Pay Basis: Monthly Position Status: Academic Year Appointment Commences: Fall 2026 semester. Responsibilities Develop and teach curriculum in accounting, including courses relevant to internal auditing. Provide mentorship to students and participate in student organization meetings and Center events. Serve as Assistant Director of the Center for Internal Auditing Excellence, reporting to the Center Director. Engage in scholarly activities related to internal auditing, IT auditing, governance, risk management, cybersecurity, and accounting. Qualifications Minimum: Master’s degree, active CPA license, and CIA and/or CISA certification. At least 5 years of internal auditing experience with progression to managerial positions. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative, inclusive environments and deliver high‑quality teaching. Preferred: Ph.D. in accounting or related field with at least 10 years of internal auditing experience and managerial progression.
