Position Responsibilities

• Execute thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical assessments and meticulous reviews of medical histories
• Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through astute interpretation of imaging tests and laboratory results
• Work collaboratively with surgeons to formulate and implement individualized surgical care plans
• Provide vital intraoperative support, facilitating OR preparations, patient positioning, and instrument handoff throughout procedures
• Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care encompassing medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Education Requirements

• Master's degree from a nationally accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations focused on surgical practices is highly desirable

Necessary Certifications

• Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required
• Licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant in the state
