We partner closely with these teams to find strategic solutions for our clients and contribute to the overall success of the firm.We are seeking an Assistant Vice President, Paralegal with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and help others on the team to do the same. In the role of Paralegal you will be part of a team responsible for supporting State Street Investment Management’s Legal Department, including the product, trading, and client contracting Legal teams.To be successful, you will develop an understanding of the firm’s investment and operational capabilities, service offerings, culture and vision, and regulatory and supervisory landscape. You will need to build and maintain collaborative relationships with lawyers on the team as well as investment, product, client service and operations professionals.What you will be responsible forAs an Assistant Vice President, Paralegal, you will provide administrative support to lawyers in the State Street Investment Management Legal Department responsible for investment funds, investments and trading.This will include:Assisting attorneys with fund-related matters, including reviewing investment documentationAssisting with the review and negotiation of service provider agreements across all aspects of State Street Investment Management’s businessConducting legal research related to new or innovative products under attorney supervisionAssisting with special projectsWhat we valueThese skills will help you succeed in this roleExceptional attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication, client service and collaboration skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive informationStrong project management capabilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teamsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook as well as AdobeEducation & Preferred Qualifications2-7 years of experience in investment managementParalegal experience at a law firm is preferred, but not requiredBachelor’s degree with strong academic credentialsSalary Range:$70,000 - $130,000 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified.
