Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist, providing essential maternity leave coverage in a supportive K-5 school environment from August 31, 2026, through April 2, 2027. This position is perfect for passionate professionals seeking hands-on experience making a meaningful difference in elementary students’ lives. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, collaborating with colleagues in an engaging educational setting.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid Minnesota OT license required
- Previous experience providing school-based occupational therapy highly valued
- Strong understanding of pediatric and elementary school caseloads
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals, maintain documentation, and collaborate with educators and families
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and work collaboratively with the educational team
What You’ll Contribute:
- Assess and support students’ fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills in an elementary school setting
- Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions to promote student success and independence within the classroom
- Train and consult with teachers and support staff on strategies to address students’ needs
- Provide direct intervention and monitor progress to meet IEP goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and stay compliant with all district and state guidelines
- Serve as a valued resource for families and educators throughout the assignment
